Not just for dancers! Experience local culture, heritage and  landscape in a historic country house on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean

Dance- Music - History - Hikes on the Wild Atlantic Way

Renvyle house is a historic country house hotel, situated in the wild splendour of Connemara on the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way. Witness moody landscapes of craggy mountains, tumbling pebble streams, purple heathery blanket bogs, sandy and coral strands, dramatic islands, tranquil coves and picturesque fishing villages. Connemara has a unique and ancient heritage, embodied in stone-walled fields and ancient monastic remains, which has evolved into a vibrant, pulsating Gaelic culture.

For your comfort all bedrooms are en-suite. The interior design style is in keeping with the Arts & Crafts movement; simple, clean lines and the use of solid Irish oak furniture made locally. Furnishings are, as much as possible, made and woven by skilled local craftsmen.  Some of the bathrooms are tiled with the local Connemara Marble. Most of the rooms offer a view of the sea and the mountains or the lake. The retreat environment is one of community with a friendly group atmosphere so guests who are joining by themselves should not feel apprehensive. There will also be ample opportunity for individual time in the evenings to relax and reset.

Hotel meals are prepared by Emma's father executive chef Tim O'Sullivan, a commissioner of EuroToques Ireland. Tim is an award winning chef with numerous accolades and author of an award winning cookbook “At Home in Renvyle” The hotel has its own kitchen gardens and orchard and features a wide range of Irish and Continental cuisine with Irish Beef, Connemara Lamb and locally caught fish. Mealtimes are just as much a part of the retreat experience as our dance workshops and activities. We are happy to cater for any dietary needs or special requests, please let us know when booking.
